ONE MEGA MILLIONS TICKET WINS ESTIMATED $47 MILLION JACKPOT; Ticket Sold in Michigan Matches All Six Numbers To Win Mega Millions players are checking their tickets after Friday’s drawing, because somewhere there is a ticket worth an estimated $47 million. That ticket, which was purchased in Pullman, Michigan, matched all six Mega Millions numbers in the July 23, 2004 drawing. The winning numbers were 05-12-25-35-37 and the Mega Ball number was 12.

Five other tickets came within just one number of hitting the jackpot. They matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number to each win $175,000. Two of those tickets were sold in Illinois, two in Ohio and the other in Texas.

A total of 431,472 tickets won prizes in Friday’s drawing. Here is the breakdown:

1 ticket matched all 6 numbers for JACKPOT!
5 tickets matched 5 numbers for $175,000
38 tickets matched 4 numbers + the Mega Ball for $5,000
1,714 tickets matched 4 numbers for $150
1,613 tickets matched 3 numbers + the Mega Ball for $150
23,022 tickets matched 2 numbers + the Mega Ball for $10
78,414 tickets matched 3 numbers for $7
124,070 tickets matched 1 number + the Mega Ball for $3
202,595 tickets matched the Mega Ball for $2

The jackpot for the Tuesday, July 27, 2004 Mega Millions drawing is $10 million.

Mega Millions is played in Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
